Meet Your Instructor & Course Orientation
Welcome to “How to Become a Cabin Crew" online course. I’m delighted you’ve chosen to embark on this journey with me, and I can’t wait to share the insights I’ve gathered from my personal path toward a career as a flight attendant. Before we dive into the core modules, let me introduce myself properly and give you a glimpse of what to expect throughout this course.
My Story
My name is Lea, and I didn’t start out as an airline recruiter, an HR specialist, or a psychologist. Instead, I was a passionate individual with a dream to travel the world and a determination to walk through every open door in the aviation industry—no matter how many times it closed in my face. Having experienced multiple rejections before finally earning my wings, I realised how important it is to have practical, genuine guidance from someone who knows precisely what it feels like to be on the outside looking in.
Each rejection I encountered taught me something new. I learned how to refine my CV, how to adjust my appearance so it matched airline standards, and how to manage my nerves during those nerve-racking interviews. Over time, these little corrections and lessons piled up, allowing me to transform my failures into a set of proven strategies that helped me finally land the job. You’ll find every part of that journey included into the lessons ahead, so you can learn from my mistakes rather than repeating them.
What You’ll Gain from This Course
Over the coming modules, you will discover the inside story on cabin crew life. You’ll learn about the realities of the job, everything from the distinct hierarchy on board to the day-to-day responsibilities that are about more than just serving drinks and smiling. You’ll see how airline expectations have evolved over the years, and you’ll learn which criteria truly matter now, rather than relying on outdated myths.
I’ll guide you through every step of your application process, including crafting a CV that stands out, choosing professional photos that meet recruiter requirements, and perfecting the look and body language you need for open day events. We’ll also focus on your mindset, because confidence and resilience play a critical role in whether or not you’ll succeed in an industry that demands composure in everything from in-flight turbulence to tense interview panels.
How to Use These Lessons
Each module of this course is designed to lead naturally into the next, so it helps to follow them in order. You’ll begin by understanding the flight attendant’s world and deciding whether this path aligns with your personal goals and values. Next, you’ll move into the specifics of preparing your CV and photographs, where you’ll discover just how significant presentation can be in catching a recruiter’s eye.
Once we’ve laid that foundation, we’ll go forward with the key difficulties that most applicants face. This includes group assessments and English tests, as well as online or personal interviews that require quick thinking and strong problem-solving skills. I’ll share the precise strategies that helped me stay calm (or at least appear calm!) under pressure. Finally, we’ll move into the mental aspects of succeeding in the aviation industry, where you’ll learn how to build your confidence, handle rejection in a healthy way, and keep growing even after you land your dream job.
Throughout the course, you’ll come across self-reflection exercises and quizzes. I encourage you to take a moment for these short activities. They’re designed to deepen your understanding of both the industry and your own motivations, helping you stay focused on why you chose this career path in the first place.
A Reflection to Begin
As a first step toward building your foundation, I invite you to reflect on what drives you to become a flight attendant. It might be the thrill of traveling the globe, the chance to meet new people every day, or perhaps the desire for a dynamic, ever-changing work environment. Think carefully about the top three reasons that propel you toward this life in the skies. Write them down somewhere you can revisit often, on your phone, in a notebook, or on a sticky note by your mirror. So you’ll have a reminder whenever doubts or fatigue creep in.
Looking Ahead
By the end of this program, you’ll possess the tools, mindset, and knowledge to present yourself in a way that truly resonates with recruiters. You’ll understand the demands of the role and you'll be prepared to handle them with grace and professionalism. Even better, you’ll have a clear plan for how to keep growing once you earn your wings, ensuring that this career becomes a long-term adventure rather than a short-lived experience.
In the next lesson, we’ll talk more about the emotional side of applying for cabin crew positions. We’ll also confront some of the typical obstacles that confuse people in this process, from repeated rejections to second-guessing your own strengths, and discuss how to keep your head in the game. This journey isn’t always straightforward, but it is absolutely within reach if you equip yourself with the right knowledge and remain true to your motivations.
So welcome aboard! I’m excited you’re here. Together, let’s turn this dream of becoming cabin crew into a reality.
